The first training session for the MSW girls kicked off with a bang on Wednesday night. MSW Vice President, Mr Darrin Neumann welcomed the girls and parents and introduced the amazing Coach, George Seaward.
For the first time the MSW Girls were issued their very own training shirt and hat.
Once all the girls looked the part George had them warming up with the expert help of QLD Cricket Coach Andy Richards.
Just like the boys program, the girls program has a huge emphasis on fielding. The girls were put through with paces with a varied of fielding drills, which included close catching, high catching and throwing.
Before heading to the nets the girls were shown some technical batting drills which they are able to practice at home.
The girls then moved into the nets and had an intense net session with Andy Richards and George Seaward sharing their knowledge and assisting them to improve their batting and bowling skills.
The next session will be held next Wednesday at 6-8PM at Graceville Memorial Park.
